District 58 Helping Hands

Since 2021, Helping Hands has connected generous community members with students and families experiencing hardship. Volunteers sign up to be contacted on a no-obligation basis, only when a specific need arises—no long-term commitment required.
Last year, Helping Hands coordinated over 100 donations, including winter coats, boots, snow pants, children’s clothing, food items, and gift cards. These contributions made a meaningful impact—helping students stay warm, attend essential medical appointments, and feel supported by their school community.
All donations are tracked internally to ensure transparency and accountability. The District serves only as a coordinator or conduit, connecting students and families in need with the resources to support them.
