Illinois law requires all students to reside in the school district where they attend. District 58 contracts with Thomson Reuters CLEAR, a third party vendor, to automatically verify student address information. The vendor will use a parent’s name and address to crosscheck the information against other electronic databases, such as utility companies. This service has been safely used by many surrounding school districts to verify student residency information, including District 99.
We anticipate the overwhelming majority of our families will be electronically verified. If your residency is electronically verified, there will be no need to submit any additional paperwork to certify that you live within the District’s boundaries.
If the District is unable to verify your address, you will receive a letter directly from our District Office. The letter will provide details regarding the additional information you will need to provide in order for your child to start the 2022-23 school year.
- After District 58 processes your child’s registration, you will receive an email invoice from the District’s PushCoin system with all registration fees for 2022-23.
- The PushCoin email arrives approximately a week after you submit your child’s registration.
- Fees are due by the first day of school, with the exception of the first payment for the Optional Kindergarten Enrichment and Enhancement Program, which is due May 20, 2022 (the due date was originally May 1, but it has been extended to May 20).
-
While we encourage families to use the PushCoin system to pay registration fees, families may also pay by check. If paying by check, please clearly identify the student(s) for whom the fees are being paid. Please make checks payable to “Downers Grove Grade School District 58” and send the check to your school or the District office at:
District 58 Office
2300 Warrenville Road, Suite 200NE
Downers Grove, IL 60515
We look forward to having your child return to District 58 for the 2022-23 school year!
Returning student registration is open Monday, March 14-Monday, April 4. We encourage families to please submit their children's registrations as quickly as possible, as this will help District 58 make critical staffing decisions in a timely manner.
Please view the below registration information to complete your child’s registration.
Illinois law requires all students reside in the school district that they attend. In the past, District 58 required families to provide three forms of residency proofs during the registration process. New this year, District 58 will contract with Thomson Reuters CLEAR, a third party vendor, to automatically verify student address information. The vendor will use a parent’s name and address to crosscheck the information against other electronic databases, such as utility companies. This service has been safely used by many surrounding school districts to verify student residency information, including District 99.

Verifying residency is an effort to protect taxpayers and district resources by identifying non-residents attending District 58 schools. Illinois law mandates that parents demonstrate residency prior to enrollment in school and allows for periodic verification to validate compliance with the law. This new process will meet the requirements of the law while being more convenient for parents.
