Herrick Middle School raised $2,163.74 to benefit LustGarten Foundation, an organization that contributes 100 percent of their donations to pancreatic cancer research, during their staff versus eighth grade basketball game Dec. 20.
This was the first year Herrick held this fundraiser. More than 300 students attended the game in support of their peers, teachers and the search for a cure!
“The event was a great success!” said Herrick Principal Matt Neustadt. “We are grateful to have such a supportive and giving group of students and families at Herrick. The students were so excited to see so many of the Herrick staff participate and play against the eighth grade team. The game was exciting and close; it concluded with a buzzer beater…perfect ending to a great event!”
