American Legion Post 80 Commander and Marines Veteran Bruce Peiffer and Army Veteran Bob Hahn stopped by O’Neill Middle School on Wednesday, Nov. 13 to accept thank you letters written by the seventh and eighth grade students.
All 450 O’Neill students wrote a personal letter to a local veteran on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, during their social-emotional learning time. Those letters will be mailed directly to the veterans by the American Legion. This cooperative effort of O’Neill Middle School, the O’Neill PTA and Post 80 was prompted by the PTA Raise Craze, which combines fundraising with kindness!
