District 58 Elementary Schools Welcome Families for Spring Open Houses

Families in classroom with students looking at student work on display on desks

This week, District 58 elementary schools welcomed families into their buildings for Spring Open House, a special opportunity held at every elementary school across the district.

Open House gives families a chance to visit their child’s school, connect with teachers and staff, and tour their child’s classroom. It is also a meaningful opportunity for parents and caregivers to view and discuss their child’s work together, while students take the lead in showing off their classroom, guiding their families through the building, and sharing more about their school experience.

From colorful student artwork lining the hallways to classroom projects proudly displayed on desks and bulletin boards, each school was filled with examples of the creativity, growth, and hard work happening every day across District 58. Families had the opportunity to see learning in action, celebrate student accomplishments, and gain a deeper understanding of the engaging classroom experiences that support student success throughout the year.

In addition to showcasing student learning, Open House also provides families with an opportunity to meet other parents and strengthen the connection between home and school. District 58 is grateful to the families who joined us this week and to the dedicated teachers and staff who helped make each Open House welcoming, meaningful, and memorable.
