The District 58 Instrumental Music Program proudly highlighted the talents of more than 495 students at this year’s Solo & Ensemble Festival, held Saturday, February 7, at Herrick Middle School. Their performances were inspiring, showcasing the dedication, skill, and passion of our young musicians.

Each year, the festival provides students with the opportunity to study, prepare, and perform solo literature. Students in grades 5–8 orchestra and grades 6–8 band spent the past 10 weeks refining their performance pieces, focusing on precision, expression, and musical growth. Professional adjudicators offered constructive feedback, helping students enhance their skills and confidence.

On February 7, our talented instrumentalists proudly took the spotlight, demonstrating the results of their hard work and commitment. We celebrate their achievement and the joy of music they bring to our community.

A special thank you to our music teachers, staff, and families for supporting our students and helping make this festival a memorable experience for all.
