Students Honored at Downers Grove PTA Reflections Ceremony

District 58 students were celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the annual Reflections Ceremony hosted by the Downers Grove Council of PTAs at O’Neill Middle School. The event recognized young artists who submitted original works in visual art, photography, dance, music, film, and literature inspired by this year’s theme, “I Belong.”

 

A total of 80 students were honored for advancing from their individual schools to the Council level, representing Districts 58 and 61. During the ceremony, the Council also announced the 50 projects that will now move on to Regional judging.

 

Reflections is a national PTA program—now in its 56th year—that encourages students in Pre-K through Grade 12 to explore their creativity, develop artistic skills, and express their ideas through the arts. More than 300,000 students nationwide participate each year.

 

The celebration showcased the talent, imagination, and hard work of these young artists, offering them well-deserved recognition and inspiring them to continue their creative journeys.
