District 58 congratulates O'Neill students Bella Lambiasi and Mihailo Callison (pictured) for participating in the Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA)’s first-ever Junior High All-State Chorus on Saturday, Feb. 1 in Peoria, Illinois. This new event brings some of the state’s most talented junior high choral students together. Junior high students from across Illinois auditioned for the chorus, and only a selected few were chosen. The All-State Junior High Chorus rehearsed together on Jan. 31 and the morning of Feb. 1, and performed at the Peoria Civic Center Theater on Feb. 1 in the afternoon.

In addition, District 58 congratulates the 19 elementary students who were selected to participate in the ILMEA All-State Elementary Chorus, also on Feb. 1. These elementary students were selected by their participation in the Downers Grove Children’s Choir and with a music teacher recommendation.
