District shares School Board nomination procedures and information
Downers Grove Grade School District 58 residents will elect three individuals to serve four-year terms on the Board of Education during the April 4, 2023 Consolidated Election. These seats are currently held by Kirat Doshi, Emily Hanus and Steve Olczyk.
District 58 will hold a Potential Board Candidate Forum on Thursday, Nov. 17 from 6-7 p.m. at O’Neill Middle School, 635 59th St. The forum will explain the role of a Board member and answer any questions prospective candidates might have about this service position.
Prospective candidates may download a Prospective Candidate Petition Packet from the DuPage County Election Commission at www.dupageco.org/Election (select “Candidate Information” and “Candidate Filing Information”). The first day to begin circulating petitions was Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022. The period for filing nominating papers runs from Monday, Dec. 12-Monday, Dec. 19, 2022. Nomination papers must be filed with the DuPage County Election Commission at 421 North County Farm Road, Wheaton, Illinois 60187.
