District 58 has been working with the bus company to evaluate bus routes and make corrections and improvements as needed. The updated routes will go into effect tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 31. We have posted the updated bus routes online at https://www.dg58.org/family-resources/bus-routes. While several updates were made, most were very minor. We encourage all bus riders to check their routes for updates.
In addition, some bus routes may be still missing from PowerSchool, so some families may still not be able to view their assigned bus stop on their PowerSchool profile. As shared last week, please view the bus routes and use the bus stop closest to your home.
We realize that some families experienced frustrations with bus transportation to start the school year. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work with the bus company to improve our bus routes. There is a bus driver shortage that has made scheduling particularly challenging this school year, and we are thankful for your understanding.
If you believe your bus stop is still missing or incorrect, please contact your school office. If your child rides a specialized route and you have a concern about your bus stop or bus route, please contact the Special Services Department at 630-719-5824.
