Congratulations to Ms. Ashley Honn, Librarian at Henry Puffer Elementary, who was named Castle Educator of the Year! Castle Automotive Group recognized Ms. Honn, along with other outstanding District 58 staff, for going above and beyond to inspire students and support the school community.
The Dec. 3, 2025 issue of Communicate 58 is now available! This edition features the District’s emergency preparedness series, highlights from Middle School VIP Day and the PTA Reflections Ceremony, Science Fair registration information, and several other District 58 updates and events.
District 58 students were among 80 young artists honored at the Downers Grove PTA Reflections Ceremony, celebrating creative works inspired by the theme “I Belong.” Fifty projects are now advancing to Regional judging.
District 58 celebrated VIP Day 2025 as 7th graders at O’Neill and Herrick welcomed the special people in their lives for music, tours, and memorable moments together.
The Education Foundation awarded 17 grants totaling more than $33,000 this year to support District 58 instruction.
District 58 invites all students in grades 1–6 to participate in this year’s Science Fair on Saturday, January 24, from 8:00–11:00 a.m. at O'Neill Middle School! Registration will be open from December 1 through December 19. Participation is voluntary, but we encourage every student to join the fun and share their curiosity for science!
