The District 58 Board of Education approved a new three-year collective bargaining agreement with the Downers Grove Elementary Education Association (DGEEA) at its meeting June 10. The contract covers 559 certified staff members.
The District 58 Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Steven Perkins as the new principal of Herrick Middle School during the Board’s June 10 meeting. He will begin July 1, 2024.

Incoming 7th grade students at Herrick and O’Neill Middle Schools are invited to get to know their middle school in preparation for the 2024-25 school year.
Over 500 8th graders were celebrated during separate Promotion Ceremonies at Herrick Middle School and O’Neill Middle School. The ceremonies were held back-to-back on the evening of Tuesday, May 29 in front of family and friends.
