Dear Incoming Seventh and Eighth Grade Students and Parents/Guardians,
The O’Neill Language Arts/Reading department wishes you a wonderful summer. Attached you will find this year’s summer reading list for each grade, as well as a brief summary of each book. Several different genres of books, as well as interests, have been listed as recommendations.
We ask each student to select ONE book either from the suggested summer reading list or of your own choice.
Have a great summer and take advantage of this unique opportunity to read ONE or more great books! The summer reading list can also be found on the O’Neill Middle School website. You can find many of these books at the Downers Grove Public Library, Anderson’s Bookshop, Barnes and Noble, or online at Amazon.com.
