Introduction

In an effort to develop and implement the use of technology in physical education classes, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students from El Sierra, Fairmount, and Lester Elementary Schools in Downers Grove have been using heart monitors. The monitors help the students learn to exercise at a constant heart rate in order to obtain their maximum health benefits.

The Process


Evaluation

This will be an ongoing process with the class workbook as a major factor in determining the understanding of this unit. During the course of the school year students will evaluate the various activities and determine which will be most beneficial to their cardiovascular fitness.


Conclusion

The understanding of how your body reacts under certain conditions will help you develop a lifestyle of lifelong wellness.
