As a proud Athenian sailor, you couldn't be happier that Zeus has included you in his special selection of citizens to share their knowledge with future generations about your profession. What makes you even happier is that he wants to know about a subject that is near and dear to your heart. Specifically, the almighty Zeus wonders about your sailing vessels.
He starts by complementing the Spartan army, and you wince, not wanting Zeus to sense your displeasure. You can't handle the thunderbolt. But then he gets to the real heart of his question, and a smile spreads across your face. He is in awe of the Athenian Navy, and wants all of the details. "How, exactly," he wonders, "are you able to create such a powerful fleet of ships? You must have some secrets, for no one has been able to replicate what you build. Your Navy is incredible, and your trade ships are remarkable- how are you able to do this?"
Although you are beaming with pride, you realize that Zeus is not simply looking to compliment you. He wants answers. You start to brainstorm ideas on a tablet, and your thoughts include:
Why are we so superior in ships?
How did this start?
What is our secret?
How does our navy function?
