The Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) selected 35 Downers Grove Grade School District 58 fifth and sixth grade students to perform in the association’s inaugural All-State Elementary Chorus on Saturday, Jan. 30 in Peoria. Only 300 students statewide were selected for this honor. Congratulations!

District 58 invites parents of soon-to-be kindergarteners to attend Kindergarten Roundup at their future school this March and April. Kindergarten Roundup provides parents the opportunity to visit their child’s future school, meet the principal and staff, and ask questions.
District 58 invites families to the second game of the new Crosstown Classic basketball series on Saturday, Feb. 27. The series offers families a great opportunity to cheer on their favorite middle school basketball team while giving back to the community.

The Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58 thanks everyone who made a donation to the Green Apple Teacher/Staff Recognition Program this past fall and holiday season. Thanks to your generosity, nearly $1,800 was raised in honor of 44 employees between November 2015 and January 2016.

The Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58 invites the community to dress up as their favorite 1980s celebrity and come to its annual spring fundraiser concert: ’80s Night with Sixteen Candles hosted by Classic Cinemas Tivoli Theatre, 5021 Highland Ave. The show will take place Thursday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
