The emotional development common to the early adolescent age groups are many and varied. They can best be described as unstable, unpredictable, and sometimes extreme. The everyday emotions early adolescents experience are related to biological development as well as to problem they experience adjusting mentally to the process of growing up and becoming sexually and physically mature. The release of various hormones into the body at uneven rates during puberty causes temporary chemical imbalances. These imbalances are largely responsible for the characteristic stormy emotion of early adolescents. To learn more visit the related links or the recommended reading list that follows.
