Flyer Approval / Distribution

As a courtesy to our community partners in education, we will allow relevant information to be shared with our students and their families via our online e-flyer distribution system, provided it falls within the criteria outlined in our policy.

Our policy states that community, educational, charitable, recreational, or similar groups may ask for permission to to have flyers distributed to our families. The flyers must be student-oriented, and have the sponsoring organization's name prominently displayed. No commercial publications shall be distributed unless their purpose is to further a school activity, such as class pictures.

Fliers accepted for posting and distribution via our e-flyer system must originate from a non-profit organization within district boundaries, and be sponsored by a group whose primary purpose includes the welfare of students in the district. Organizations may request approval of mass flier distribution no more than once per month.

When new flyers are posted for viewing twice per month, parents will receive an e-mail alert via our parent notification system. This e-mail will provide a link to the e-flyer page, as well as a listing of newly posted flyers.

For families without Internet access, a limited number of flyers will be available at the Administrative Service Center, 1860 63rd St., as well as at individual schools.

Information from our teachers, principals, PTAs, administration and Education Foundation may still be sent home in paper format, as well as being posted online.

Organizations wishing to post a flyer on our Web site must submit a request. Please fax or e-mail a copy of the flyer you would like to distribute to (630) 719-9857 or kpauss@dg58.org, or mail to 1860 63rd Street, Downers Grove, IL, 60516.

Flyers are approved twice per month, on the 15th and last day of the month. Flyers received after these dates will be reviewed on the following approval date. Submitted organizations will be notified whether their flyer has been approved for posting on our e-flyer page.

**Please note: The first flyer approval of the 2010-11 school year will be Aug. 31, and the last flyer approval of the 2010-11 school year will be May 15.
